    So Proud of Us

    By Lynn | August 2, 2008

So Jay and I went to Prescott Monday to do some hiking. Little did we know that we picked the most difficult and longest hike in the Prescott National Forest. There was a 1,200 foot ascension in the 3.5 miles to the destination of the Spruce Lookout Point. Most of that asscension was in the last mile. It was really hard on my legs. They really did turn into rubber!

The trip was amazing! Ponderosa Pines were the mainstay, but as we got closer to the 7,200 ft elevation, blue spruce and cedar became prominent. It was sooooo quiet. We were the only ones on the trail. Beautiful.

So this little video captured the sounds. Only the wind in the pine needles making a quiet hush. It was sooo relaxing - even as we busted our butts to get to the top.
