Our Lives

Those who brng sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves - a quote from James M. Barrie

Sorry, Couldn’t resist

“This year, taxpayers will receive an  Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will  explain using the Q and A format:

“Q. What is an Economic Stimulus  Payment?

“A. It is money that the federal government  will send to taxpayers.

“Q. Where will the government get this  money?

“A. From taxpayers.

“Q. So the government is giving me back my  own money?

“A. Only a smidgen.

“Q. What is the purpose of this  payment?

“A. The plan is that you will use the money  to purchase a high-definition TV
set, thus stimulating the  economy.

“Q. But isn’t that stimulating the economy  of China ?

“A.  Shut up.”

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending
your stimulus check wisely:

If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all  the money will go to China .

If you spend it on gasoline it will go to  the Arabs.

If you purchase a computer it will go to  India .

If you purchase fruit and vegetables it  will go to Mexico , Honduras , and
Guatemala (unless you buy  organic).

If you buy  a car it will go to Japan .

If you purchase useless crap it will go to  Taiwan .

And none of it will help the American  economy.

We need to keep that money here in America .  You can keep the money in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spend it on prostitutes, beer (domestic ONLY), or tattoos, since those are the only businesses still in the USA.

Today

Okay, so I got a call yesterday from Jay’s sister, Joanne that they are in town for a few days.  Jay had told me that they were coming in Feb, but they will be coming back then.  So, we are going to my new favorite resturant Lis Doon Varna for dinner.  After all, Bud is Irish….  : D

We are finally getting Katie some new tires today too.   When I met her for coffee the other day, I couldn’t believe how bald her tires are!  There is NO tread left…..

I was going to try to put together a new site for Jay that Matt built, but I am confused about the file structure - will have to wait until Matt can walk me through it and answer my questions.  (Can you hear me Matt?)  : D

So, will finish working on my informational packet for my Real Estate Tool Shop programs today.  I am going into Jay’s RE/MAX offices next week to promote my stuff!

Sunday afternoon at our house

Well, the Cardinals are playing.  Sure hope they win.  Jay will be sad if they don’t!  Imagine a home team actually going to the Super Bowl!  Would be pretty exciting. (Will be - gotta act as if)

The sun is shining, the temp is about 75 degrees, there is a breeze.  Nice.  Good time to go outside and read a book.  Too bad the game is on!

Joined Facebook the other day.  Pretty cool system. I have found and connected with people I haven’t talked to in 5 years or so.  Pretty neat.  It is addictive though!  But it is also a great tool.

Join up and look me up.  Would be good to connect.

Busy

We have both been really busy lately.  Jay has had lots of buyers from out of town come in and February he has even more!  Great news.

I have been busy trying to put together some ideas to create a marketing department for the RE/MAX company Jay is with.  This one is going to be a challenge, as not only will it service the agents, it would service the office as well.

Met with them today, not sure how it will be structured, or even if we are going to move forward with it, but its been fun to think about…..
